Potentially Reimbursable Costs Incurred by Health Insurance Plan Change
When the administration unilaterally changed our health insurance benefits, increasing premiums and other costs, we fought back, filed an Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) charge and were successful in getting reimbursements for additional costs.
Oakwood Village employees covered by the company’s health insurance plan at the beginning of 2023 may be eligible for reimbursement of certain expenses incurred between January 1, 2023, and February 16, 2023, that were caused by the administration’s unilateral change to the health insurance benefits. The administration will automatically reimburse the difference in premium for that period. The chart below is a guide to other expenses that may be covered and require a claim be submitted for reimbursement.
For comprehensive information and to submit a claim, contact Steve Funk at Oakwood Village, steve.funk@oakwoodvillage.net or 608-230-4530.

Expenses that may be covered
Here are some differences between the 2022 plan and the 2023 plan to help you understand what might be owed to you. This chart shows costs for In-Network services. Coverage and amounts may vary for Out-of-Network coverage.
Additional reimbursable expenses may include mileage for travel further than you would have traveled to receive healthcare services.
