Building Our Union

Your Union. Your Voice. Your Future.

Be part of SEIU Wisconsin’s first-ever constitutional vote.

Following the formation of SEIU Wisconsin in 2022, we made historic strides, including leading the first successful strike in our history and securing record wage increases for workers across our union. Through successful grievance resolutions, we’ve reclaimed hundreds of thousands of dollars for our members. We've also built significant political power, helping to elect pro-worker candidates in local elections. Our union is growing faster than ever, with record-breaking member participation and more workers joining our ranks than at any point in our history.

To guide our new union forward, we created the Future’s Committee—a group of rank-and-file leaders from all sectors of our union. They’ve spent the past year helping shape a plan that reflects our priorities, our values, and our dreams for what our union can become.

Our Story.

SEIU Wisconsin was formed in December 2022 when healthcare workers, public sector workers, and property service workers across the state came together. By uniting, we built a stronger, more powerful union rooted in solidarity and shared purpose.

Our Plan.

With unprecedented cuts and greed in our industries impacting our lives and our jobs, ongoing attacks on immigrant communities and fellow members, and many workers in Wisconsin still without full collective bargaining rights, it is more crucial than ever to take bold, decisive action to fight back against these attacks and protect all workers.

By organizing and mobilizing, we are taking a stand: we are building our union, demanding better rights, and pushing back against those who threaten our communities and livelihoods.

Our Strategic Plan for 2025-2027 is focused on:

Our plan isn’t just words—it’s action. We’re training leaders, launching campaigns, and building strength across the state.

Our Dues Plan.

A Fair Dues Rate for All

All members will contribute 2% of their regular wages (excluding overtime and shift differentials). This will be phased in gradually over four years, starting at 1.65% in 2026 and reaching 2% in 2029. No one will pay more than a set monthly cap.

No Member Left Behind

Members earning less than $15/hour or $16,000/year will pay the minimum rate of $20/month. Fair, simplified dues are also built in for direct-pay members and event-based workers.

Who pays what:

Use the Dues Estimator Tool to see how your dues will be impacted.

Together, we'll pass a fair, sustainable dues plan to power our union into the future.
